Introduction

This institution was founded in January 2023 in Nakazato, Ibaraki, Japan, and Waqar Mahan Khan, its director, is a well-known Muslim businessman. The Institute of Islamic Studies, Jamia Masjid al-Suffa, and Suffa Halal Muslim Food are all located on the institution’s four acres of property. For those attending events at the mosque and the institution, there is also plenty of parking available.

Learning Activities

The following topics are at the center of the institution’s instructional efforts:

The institute provides Tajweed-style reading and recitation of the Quran. It offers basic Islamic education for children up to the age of 15. Muslim sisters and daughters receive separate schooling, with a measure of the number of teachers per mile. There are two-year courses available for Quran translation and interpretation, which are open to both men and women over the age of 15. The institute provides instruction in Japanese and Urdu languages. Additionally, for those interested in learning Arabic, there is a three- to six-month language program offered by the college.
